I believe everything happens for a reason.  I also think that in the divine scheme of things, life’s events are perfectly timed.  For instance, if things occurred sooner than they should, their importance may be lost on us.  If they take place later, we might miss out on an opportunity of a lifetime.  A couple of weeks ago, I made the decision to forfeit my goal of participating in a sprint triathlon, as well as my first race.  I’ve been thinking about what to substitute in their place, and my older sister mentioned I would figure it out when the time was right.  There are also several more dreams I’m banking on, with the biggest one requiring multiple factors coming together at just the right time in order to finally be realized.  Which means I have to sit back and let it happen (hard for a planner like me).  But to keep frustration from rearing its ugly head, I need to realize just like a pot of tea brewed to perfection, none of my dreams can be rushed.  Not if I want them to turn out just right.

Is there an opportunity you would have missed out on, had you tampered with the timing?
