Have you figured out how you’re going to fulfill your list of resolutions in 2012? For me, the only way I’ll be able to accomplish my 24 goals over the course of the year is to keep my list handy so I can review it on a weekly (and sometimes daily) basis. That way I am able to take stock of what I’ve done in order to get where I want to go, and make adjustments as necessary. If your objective is to write a novel this year, for instance, we all know it won’t write itself. But the task feels less daunting when you have the course mapped out. When I embarked on Chris’s fabulous adventure a year ago February, I intended to drive up the gulf coast. This seemed a bit scary until I charted my route in small increments. So if you’re going to write that book, you simply need to start at point A and plan it out in bite-size pieces. At the end of the day, you can measure your progress and you may even amaze yourself by crossing another one of your goals off your list.
What’s your most daunting resolution for this year? How are you going to accomplish it?
